Outstanding Service Award

A.G. Williams Painting Company’s President and CEO, George P. Williams, was recently honored with the 2017 Trinity Award by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of New Rochelle, NY for his long-term commitment to the church and community. A.G. Williams, based in Pelham, NY, was featured in the September 2017 edition of The Paint Contractor.

Williams, who served as president, vice president and trustee on the church’s Board of Directors, was recognized for both his and his company’s dedication to the church for over three generations. “Each year, every member of the Holy Trinity Council votes to inaugurate one honoree,” said Father Nicholas Anctil, presiding priest at Holy Trinity. “This year, the Council’s votes were unanimous.”

In accepting the award, Williams spoke of the values that are instilled in W.G Williams employees: honesty, integrity and professionalism. “My father taught me a strong work ethic, while my mother taught me the difference between right and wrong,” said Williams. “We promote a culture of hard work, honesty, and doing the right thing, especially when nobody is looking.” Williams credited his brother and Co-President, Arthur Williams, as being the anchor of the company that helps keep him grounded and focused. They complement each other’s skills for an effective team that has helped the company grow.

In the last 11 years, A.G. Williams has donated over one million dollars in cash and services to charities throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

PPG announced Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification for 15 formulas from the its TOP GUN® architectural sealants product line. PPG Top Gun is one of the first sealants in North America to publish a building and construction sealant EPD that is certified by the global public health organization NSF International.

An EPD is a comprehensive, internationally-harmonized report that documents the ways in which a product, throughout its lifecycle, affects the environment. EPDs contribute to the transformation of green building initiatives, such as Leadership in Energy and
